Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting was a bittersweet moment for the board’s president and vice president.
It was the final board meeting for Board President Michelle Lambert and Board Vice President Dale Brinkerhoff. Four new board members will be sworn in Jan. 3 during a special session.
“It’s been a huge honor to serve in this capacity,” Lambert said. “I appreciate your kind words and recognize that we succeed and fail as a team and as a board and as a group. I would be remiss to not recognize the efforts of every single one of you to choose to work together and to choose to work through the hard stuff and to be honest and fair and to remember that it’s all about the kids.”
