The seven-member school board sets the vision and goals for the school district, and holds the district accountable for results. The school board attends to business items such as approving the district budgets, school calendars, and adopting curriculum. The school board is the community’s voice in education.
THE WORK MEETINGS ARE REGULARLY HELD ON THE THIRD TUESDAY AND BEGIN AT 4:30 PM. PUBLIC COMMENT ONLY TAKES PLACE DURING THE BUSINESS MEETINGS, WHICH ARE REGULARLY HELD ON THE FOURTH TUESDAY AND WILL BEGIN AT 5:30 PM, UNLESS CHANGED BY THE BOARD PRESIDENT. THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO ATTEND BOTH MEETINGS.
Meetings are held in the board room on the second floor of the district office at 2077 W. Royal Hunte Drive, Cedar City, unless noticed at a different location. Public comment is limited to 3 minutes per person during the business meeting.

Discussing the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual
Discussing collective bargaining
Discussing pending or reasonably imminent litigation
Discussing the purchase, exchange, or lease of real property

Discussing the deployment of security personnel, devices, or systems
Investigative proceedings regarding allegations of criminal misconduct
Conducting business relating to the receipt or review of ethics complaints
