Cedar High School: Parents Two important items that we would like for you to be aware of today. 1. Chromebooks will be shut off on Wednesday for students and/or their parents that have not completed the school policy forms in PowerSchool. Please make sure this is completed. If you need assistance, please contact the main office. 2. In remembrance of 9/11 and National Constitution Day (Sept 17), students were given a pocket size constitution today in their XLT class. Parents Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the XLT changes this year. We are excited to be able to offer more remediation to students this year as well as College and Career Readiness (CCR) opportunities. I am asking for your support in encouraging your student to take full advantage of this time. Each Monday, students will be tagged and given whole school instruction and CCR lessons. You Science is a program that we will use to support the CCR portion of XLT. (youscience.com). Life Launch University will be used for other lessons during this time and information will be sent through remind with that information as it is used. Tuesday-Thursday's will be tag days. Again, please encourage your students to attend and get additional help from teachers. Students earn credit and a grade for attending and completing the lessons on Monday's. I want to thank you for your overall support of CHS. Cedar High School is a great place to be with the best students and community. Mrs Sanders

Girls Soccer team gets shutout victory over Dixie! The Reds defense was stout all game long holding the Dixie Flyers out of the goal in a 4-0 shoutout victory. The first 20 minutes of the game were dominated by the defenses as neither team was able to score until just after halfway through the first half. The Reds were able to find a gap in the Dixie defense as TyLee Nielson put a beautiful cross in front of the Dixie goal and Kyla Johnson was able to put it past the goalee to give the Reds the 1-0 lead. Just minutes later Johnson found the back of the net again off of a TyLee Nielson pass to give the Reds a 2-0 first half advantage. It didn’t take Cedar long to score in the second half, when just under 2 minutes into the half Gabby Gomez took a pass from Jaden Hlebasko through the middle of the Dixie Defense and put one out of reach of the keeper for the 3-0 advantage. The final goal came from Kenzie Bird off of yet another TyLee Nielson pass lofted into the box for Bird to put away. The Defense held firm in front of Cambria Simper to give the Reds the shutout victory moving their Region record to 3-3.

The Cedar Reds Volleyball team continues to play excellent volleyball as they remain unbeaten at 5-0 on the young season and 2-0 in Region 9 play. The Reds are yet to drop a set on the season as well. Led by the potent offensive attack of Emery Harrison, Liko Fallau and Katie Larson on the outsides and Ansley Coates and Annalyse Shimada in the middle, setter Bird Allen has plenty of weapons to choose from. The defense of the Reds has held the last two opponents below 20 points in each of the 6 sets anchored by defensive specialist Nyah Barnes. Way to go Girls!

The Cedar Reds Soccer team has had a tought time finding the back of the net as of late and today continued the offensive struggles. The Reds had several close opportunities that went just wide of the net to keep them off the scoreboard for the day. The Reds played the Mustangs tough but ultimately fell short on Thursday afternoon.
