Special Education Qualifying Students
Children may qualify for special education services if they have a significant delay in one or more of the following areas:
- Cognitive development
- Motor skills
- Personal/Social skills
- Behavior/Self-Help skills
If you have a concern in any of the above areas you can contact the preschool and refer your child for an evaluation. The appropriate related service provider will contact you for an appointment. If your child qualifies, an eligibility meeting will be held and an Individualized Education plan (IEP) will be completed. Your child will be placed 2 or 4 days a week depending on services needed.
Students who qualify are entered into the program any time during the year as they are found eligible for services.
Students who do not qualify for Special Education services may attend as a “tuition student”. Please contact one of the preschools to have your child placed on the list. If there is not an opening they will be placed on a waiting list. When an opening becomes available, we will fill it using that list. We do this on a “first come, first served” basis.
We take students as 3 year olds and 4 year olds. They need to be 3 by September 1st of the year you would like them to attend. You have the option of your child attending one or two years. They may also attend 2 or 4 days a week. Students must be toilet trained to attend.
Tuition is $150.00 a month if they attend 4 days a week and $75.00 a month for 2 days a week.
