A large group of family, friends, co-workers, gym buddies, and schoolmates gathered on June 5 to celebrate the life of Chari Hensler, who passed away June 2 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was such a positive light in the lives of everyone she knew. She made us all better people.
If you knew Chari, you knew the epitome of strength and positivity. She was one that made you feel like you were the only one in the room, and that she had all the time in the world to listen to your story. She fought valiantly, and we never heard a complaint through this journey. She was always sure to help us understand that this has been the right path that is meant for her, and although we may not understand or know what it is–all things happen for a reason. She always finished her messages with gratitude for the presence and support she felt from all of us and our prayers.
Stories were told at the celebration about how she loved all the children she worked with during her career in education and how she thanked everyone she helped for letting her help them! Chari is described as strong, courageous, incredible, inspirational, a blessing, kind, an amazing force, positive, one of a kind, wise, welcoming, loving, a valiant warrior, brave, a fighter, beautiful… She embodied everything good in life. We will all truly miss her. Love and prayers to her family, and thank you, Chari, for blessing the lives of those you worked with in the Iron County School District.
