It’s the final day of April. Spring is here, and there are 19 days of school remaining in this very interesting year. I continue to be grateful for the “village” that has supported our students, educators and support staff this year. This week, I’d like to honor an essential part of that village: our school resource officers. They are critical to keeping our students, faculty and staff safe; helping to maintain a positive environment in our schools; and building relationships with our students to allow for trust to be built and maintained. Thank you!

Pope Francis said: “Only those who serve with love are able to protect.” I believe this is exemplified in the resource officers serving in our schools. In celebration of these good men, I’ve attached a fun video clip that I believe shows just how willing they are to engage with our students. Each of them show their care for kids in their own way using their own abilities and talents, and we appreciate their dedication and service to our community. Again, a sincere “THANK YOU” to: Officer Heaps, Officer Taylor, Officer Townsend, Officer Carpenter and Officer Condie, as well as those from Enoch PD that serve when needed. You are amazing, and your service to our schools and communities is so appreciated!!!
Wishing ALL a peaceful weekend!
