High Schools Excel in State Theatre Competition

In the recent state 4A Theatre Festival, Canyon View High School took 2nd place overall, and Cedar High School took 3rd place overall in the competition. Congratulations to these very talented students and their teachers, Holly Barrick and Zac Trotter.
Additional winnings for CVHS include:
3rd place with their One Act play.
Mia Gatherum- 1st place Dramatic monologue
Andrew Barrick & Ivy Colbert- 1st place Contemporary Scene
Megan Jordan- 3rd place Musical Theatre
Ammo Doty & Shelby Fawson- 2nd Place Pantomime
Mia Gatherum- Best Supporting Actress in a One Act

1st Place – Classical Scenes (Koryn Sobel & Noah Denhalter)
2nd Place – Contemporary Scenes (Brady Lewis, Alyssa LaMarca, Ryan Aitcheson)
3rd Place – Humorous Monologue (Ava Miner)
3rd Place – Pantomime (Fallon Montgomery)

CHS Theatre teacher, Zac Trotter, has accepted a position at Salem Hills High School. He will be sorely missed.
