Four Iron County School District high school students have had their art accepted into state and national art shows. The Utah All-State High School Art Show honors the best high school artists in the state. The following local students had their art accepted into this juried exhibition:

Claire Swope (CVHS), “Valentine”

Alexi Wheelwright (CVHS), “Plague Desolation”

Spencer Peel (CHS), “Faceted Anatomy”

This year the Art Show had its first ever digital submission and online jurying system. A panel of twelve professional artists and arts administrators carefully reviewed each of the 892 entries in order to create this exhibition. The show has a final selection of 325 works, representing 104 Utah high schools, which collectively highlight the talent, creativity, and promise of the upcoming generation of artists.

View the exhibition in person during The Springville Museum of Art open hours or visit the online gallery linked below.

We also had a CHS student win entrance in the National K-12 Ceramic Exhibition, an annual juried ceramic competition for Kindergarten through Grade 12 (K-12) students in the United States. This exhibition is designed to showcase the best K12 ceramic work made in the country.

Morgan Englestead, (CHS), “The Snakipede”
