Happy Friday Friends,

We are well into December, one week of the first semester remains, and I know we are all looking forward to the Christmas Break. Below are the COVID statistics as of today. Many are working diligently to keep us in school. The efforts of our high school teams to test students, coaches and advisors so that our kids can continue to participate and be supported in athletics and extra-curricular activities have been monumental and, I am sure, much appreciated by all involved. A special “shout out” to all of them this week.

Total Positive cases since August 25th – 195
Total student positive cases – 142
Total employee positive cases – 53
Total current active cases – 71
Total recovered cases – 124
Positive student cases related to school attendance – 8
Positive employee cases related to school attendance – 5
Total number of employees and students currently quarantined – 506
Total number of students quarantined since August 25th – 1487
Total number of employees quarantined since August 25th – 119

As we reflect on our current circumstances and bring to remembrance all with which we are blessed, I hope that we will take time to serve others: most especially those with whom we work, those we love, and those who are in need. Engaging in acts of love and service really can be healing for us all.

“A few days ago, I was around a large group of people. Each was sharing what they want for Christmas. “I want… I want…” This is what I want: I want the hungry to have food. I want the homeless to have homes. I want the sick to be healed. I want families to remain whole and complete. I want the abuse of people and animals to stop. I want people to love each other, to care for each other and to make time for each other.” ~Charity M. Richey-Bentley

With much love and appreciation,
