Good morning and happy Friday!
I hope that each of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you were able to spend time with family and friends as well as “catch-up” on some “you” time. This time of year always brings with it an increased focus on traditions and it is my hope that you are able to find your way to those traditions, especially given our current challenges. There is comfort that comes from remembering and, perhaps, rediscovering and engaging others in these time-honored experiences.

Thanks to ALL who are helping us stay in school. A special thanks to our counselors, social workers, psychologists, and wellness room facilitators. You are doing critical work as we navigate through the challenges associated with the virus. Your thoughtfulness and service to students, families, and colleagues is noticed and appreciated. You all are amazing!
As I have considered what each educator, support staff, and parent/guardian has been challenged with during this time, the following quote resonated with these thoughts, and I hope provides a little perspective at this time:
“I’ve learned so much this year…
I learned that things don’t always turn out the way you planned, or the way you think they should. And I’ve learned that there are things that go wrong that don’t always get fixed or get put back together the way they were before. I’ve learned that some broken things stay broken, and I’ve learned that you can get through bad times and keep looking for better ones, as long as you have people who love you.” ~Jennifer Weiner
With much love and appreciation to ALL of you for ALL you are doing!
