Canyon View High School - 1st Place Utah FFA Convention

On April 24th the Agricultural Sales Team from Canyon View High School competed in Logan at the Utah FFA Convention and brought home the first place award. With the win, the team qualifies to represent Utah at the National FFA Competition next fall. The team was comprised of Kaylee Hopkins, Destiny Jenson, Isaac Sandoval and Sadie Webster and was coached by Janette Stubbs.  “We were worried that we wouldn’t be able to go and compete after putting in a lot of time, so to be able to go and win it was great,” said Jenson.  Following an intense three weeks of preparing, the team was able to come out on top. “All of us worked together and made the most of it. Nobody thought we had a chance, but I believed we could do it,” said Hopkins.

The Ag Sales state title is the first in that competition for Canyon View High School. “Janette Stubbs has been waiting twelve years for a team from Canyon View to win so it was great to get it for her,” said Webster. Congratulations to this team for representing Canyon View High School and Iron County School District so well.
