Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)

Response to Instruction/Intervention

“Empowering all students to learn through systematic school-wide support”

MTSS is the systematic, multi-tiered, problem-solving team approach of providing high-quality instruction/intervention matched to student needs and using learning rate over time and level of performance to make important education decisions.

ICSD and each school site will implement MTSS in a continued effort to provide support for ALL students through ongoing collaboration involving teachers, administrators, families, specialists and community partners.

The ICSD MTSS district leadership team has developed a model and blueprint in an effort to bring together and articulate a plan for consensus building, infrastructure building and implementation at each of our district school sites. The following is a graphic of the model’s structure. The MTSS blueprint document details the specifics of this representation.
