Fiddlers Canyon Elementary - Welcome to the last week of school!! All of our students are a little taller, a little wiser, and probably need new shoes! What a wonderful year it has been. We appreciate the hard work of our teachers, our staff, our volunteers, and our students and their families. We especially thank Mrs. Julie Winslow. She is retiring from Fiddlers after a fantastic career in education. We love her and will miss her greatly. Our PTA has been a great help to us all along the way. Enoch Elementary - Life is busy at Enoch Elementary. The P.T.A. spearheaded a “Fun Run” run-a-thon to earn funds on May 9. Thank you for supporting our young runners. Our third, fourth, and fifth grade classes attended a reward trip to the movie theater to celebrate hard work. On May 15 our school will hold the final activity for our reading incentive program. Enoch Elementary - With the end of the school year in sight, many programs are being polished for presentation for families in the next few weeks. East Elementary - March 30 we had our annual talent show with performances for students and parents. There was great participation and the students did a super job. We thank Gia Allred, Shannon Passey, Marney Garrett and Laurel Dodgion for their hard work and making it run so smoothly. Our first and second grades enjoyed the Bard’s Birthday Bash at SUU last week and had fun learning about games from Shakespeare’s time. Domino’s Pizza fundraiser will be Wednesday, May 2. Enoch Elementary - We are excited to announce that the Iron County School District was chosen to receive a grant from SelectHealth’s Select 25 awards program. The Select 25 awards program supports those who encourage healthy behaviors or serve special populations. This year, SelectHealth will award $2,500 to 25 winners in Utah. These donations will help individuals and organizations make a healthy difference in our communities. Fiddlers Elementary - We hope everyone had a great Spring Break and Easter with your families. It's rejuvenating to take time to relax, play, travel, work on the yard, or just sit and read a book every now and again. As we return it's surprising to note that we only have seven weeks of school to go. We encourage all parents of incoming Kindergarten students to attend our parent orientation meeting Thursday, April 12th at 6:30. We want parents to understand that they can make a huge difference in preparing their child for school by working on some basic skills and knowledge. One example of

EAST ELEMENTARY - We were excited this week to have our yearly Science Fair. A record number of students participated with 193 projects this year. We would like to congratulate all the students who participated, and the parents who supported their students in developing their projects. East Elementary - We would like to thank all the parents who attended SEPs last week. It was wonderful to see so many parents in attendance. We would like to remind parents that we will have our monthly awards assembly March 28th. The assembly for grades K-2 will begin at 10:00 AM and 10:45 AM for grades 3-5. It has been impressive to see the number of awards our students have earned by continuously reading. We appreciate the support of our parents who have encouraged their students to read regularly.
