Jacobsen has lad Canyon View High School's Baseball Team for the last 9 years and is currently the longest tenured baseball coach in Region 9.

The last two years under Jacobsen, the Falcons have advanced to the 3A State Championship Game bringing home second place trophies each year.  Last year the Falcons claimed the 3A Region 9 Championship trophy as well.

Jacobsen has also been involved in community efforts to assist youth struggling with physical ailments.  The baseball team helped put in a miniature baseball field at the home of little boy in Enoch that loved baseball and needed help to fufill a wish that he had.  Jacobsen is also a key contributor in the success of the Steve Hodson Cancer Classic.
